Faith and Sobriety

During some divine appointments God brought the attention of the

co-founders, Junior Berryhill and Kyle Carter, that there is a need in Mississippi to offer safe, sober, Christ centered housing and mentorship to men coming out of prison and or lifestyles of addiction and brokenness. This was the beginning of the vision for this project.

The Onesimus House has the capacity to house up to sixteen men. These men come from all walks of life with a common desire of a chance to become all they were created to be. During their stay at The Onesimus House sober living program the men are required to participate in daily classes, bible studies, work programs and many other activities.

The goal is for each of these men to return with life skills including job readiness to their communities where they will be productive and purposeful. We have partnered with other groups and organizations in Mississippi that have stepped up to help with this vision. When these men have reached the end of their stay at The Onesimus House, our partners have agreed to provide them with continued support in their faith and recovery as well as mentorship.
